Key Points and Summary – Ukraine’s HUR says a Ukrainian-made long-range sea drone struck a Russian MPSV07-class reconnaissance/salvage vessel near the approaches to Novorossiysk on Sept. 10, damaging sensors and forcing costly repairs. The target, in service since 2015, was reportedly 400 km from the frontline (about 600 km by sea around Crimea).

-Kyiv posted dramatic footage of the hit. The attack comes as the EU readies a $7 billion investment to scale Ukraine’s drone industry and the UK signs a deal to mass-produce interceptor drones.

-Meanwhile, stray Russian drones triggered NATO’s first-ever engagement in allied airspace, prompting Polish F-16s and Dutch F-35s to scramble.

Ukraine Strikes a Russian ship in the Black Sea

In Ukraine’s latest successful drone attack, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) successfully attacked a Russian spy ship in the Black Sea on September 10.

Reported by Euromaidan Press, the Russian ship, a multifunctional MPSV07-class vessel, “sustained serious damage, lost its electronic reconnaissance equipment, and now requires costly repairs.”

HUR shared more details about the attack on its Telegram channel, stating that Ukraine “tracked down and successfully attacked another expensive military target of the aggressor state of Russia,” according to a translation of the Telegram message.

The message also said that the ship went into operation in 2015 and cost $10 million. The vessel was “conducting electronic reconnaissance and patrolling the approaches to the Novorossiysk Bay” at the time of the attack. It added that the attack was conducted with a “Ukrainian-made drone,” and it flew a long distance, with the spot 400km from the frontline and 600 km “if traveling by sea around the Crimean Peninsula.”

A Dramatic Strike

HUR also posted footage of the strike, complete with dramatic music, and posted it to YouTube and Telegram.

According to Euromaidan, it follows an attack in August, when Ukraine killed five elite Russian divers in a drone attack.

Kyiv Independent had more, adding that “while the Ukrainian agency says that Russia has four vessels of this class, open sources list five operational Project MPSV07 multifunctional salvage ships, with the sixth one under construction,” adding that the name of the vessel that was struck is still being determined.

Ukraine’s Drone Efforts

While HUR stated that the drone used in the attack was homegrown, it did not state the type of drone used in the attack.

But Ukraine, of late, has been ramping up efforts to produce its own drones.

A Business Insider report stated that the European Commission announced it would invest $7 billion in Ukraine’s drone industry, shortly after Ukraine announced it needed $6 billion this year for its drone needs.

“Ukraine has the ingenuity. What it needs now is scale,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said Wednesday. The funding, she said, will come from frozen Russian assets.

Ukraine’s drone industry, BI said, is “now seen as a globally leading force, driven by a wide range of domestic manufacturers and individual military units.”

Also this week, the UK announced a separate agreement to mass-produce interceptor drones for Ukraine. Thanks to Brexit, the UK is no longer part of the EU, and its help for Ukraine is therefore separate.

Per Sky News, the drones were “designed by Ukraine with support from British scientists, are highly effective at destroying the one-way attack aircraft Moscow continues to launch at Ukrainian cities.”

It’s part of a continuing partnership, already announced, between the two countries.

“This deal is a first of its kind, giving UK industry unprecedented access to the latest equipment designs, supporting Ukraine in its fight to defend against Putin’s illegal invasion and showing how defence can be an engine for growth as we deliver on our Plan for Change,” British Defence Secretary John Healey said this week, per Sky News.

A Drone in Poland

The news comes as, earlier this week, some drones launched as part of a barrage towards Ukraine landed in the NATO nation of Poland, which led NATO to scramble jets, including Polish F-16s and Dutch F-35s.

The operation actually made history: As reported by the New York Times, it represented the first time in NATO’s 75 history that “alliance fighters had engaged enemy targets in allied airspace.”

Poland, as a result of the incident, made a rare invocation of Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty, which brings urgent matters to the full alliance, when “the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Parties is threatened.”

  1. Swamplaw Yankee

well, skewed again in his own way, but a way of viewing the facts.

Every observer can see that Ukraine has evolved to the state that it should have been in 11 years ago.

The intense interest of PRC CCP Xi regime in the front line of Genocide is evident, as the agreed upon LONG GAME with its vassal Putin is under some sort of Han review.

The PRC CCP is just as focussed on its internal agents inside the USA DNI, et al, agencies. How incapable will Trump become and exactly when will the code numbers become fuzzy in his MCI episodes? The Xi regime intelligence is not snoozing on this topic.

But, the PRC CCP does not want the vicious line of Genocide to stop, especially now. They need to know exactly what the innovative Ukrainians are creating with brains they have not cased. If the UK is on the ball again, Xi wants to know asap.

As the ruusskie ethnic butchers restock in 2025 their meat grinder genocide line inside Ukraine, Ukrainians are full ahead with tech initiatives that delight the Xi intelligence to know about in full.

Conversely, the Yankee empire shows in public its growing inability to lead the WEST. The MAGA POTUS Trumpkin has just merged the legislative branch of Congress into his Trump Executive Branch control.

Again, this historic removal of legislative checks and balance is of great interest to the PRC CCP dictatorship. When will the average Doodle Dandy even get a whiff of this loss of constitutional balance?

The ship attack is a tangible manifestation of the gossamer Ukrainian will to stop the 1000 year old Genocide of Ukrainians by the orc Ruusskie ethnics.

As the UK minds ( industry) meld with Ukrainian urgent needs, there will be results, of interest in most fields. Luckily, the English Gestalt is so superior to the Yankee but more essentially, more free from the Coward tendencies of the Yankee.

With the appearance in a tangible form, the new tech will force Xi to review his LONG GAME with vassal Putin. Already, the 2025 benefits to the PRC to exit vassal Putin from illegally occupied Ukrainian land is evident to the uninformed observer.

The con of FREE real estate stolen from Ukrainian freedom fighters is now a growing liability, more visible, for the PRC Xi regime. Depending on that speed of liability, the visibility, the speed of missile appearance from European allies, Xi will need to cook up a withdrawal from 100% of stolen Ukraine strategy. Maybe Xi can do some practical horse trading with Ukrainian leadership, while there is a window of opportunity for the Han.

As the new “era” missile in Ukraine starts to collapse the long anticipated Ruusskie controlled captive nation empire, Xi has to play his own PRC CCP LONG GAME.

With the incapability of the MAGA POTUS elite growing more evident, the XI regime options to quickly team up with Ukraine, for Ukraine’s benefit bring huge potential rewards for the smart ( comprehending) bet maker in the PRC regime.

Its like Quantum physics, around for over a century, but still allowing the smart to evoke a school of Quantum interpretation that seems more logical. Yeah, around even before Putin’s grandfather butchered 20,000,000 Ukrainians ( HOLODOMOR) to parasite settle the vacant homes + businesses with Ruusskie speaking invaders. -30-
